Comment on Force a teachers contract…really by GMyles

If the Liberals force a contract on teachers, it won't be a surprise. They have been very busy, this past decade, eroding the freedoms and rights of British Columbians, and in particular, teachers. And gee, why not? After all, teacher bashing is a sport enjoyed widely in this province, is it not? But watch out when Liberal policies come back to bite you and your children! The Liberals (under Christy Clark as education minister) declared teachers an essential service. Now I realize that many parents are seriously stressed out when their daily babysitting service disappears, but seriously, nobody's life if threatened when teachers go on strike. What we have to ask ourselves is whether we really want to live in a society where a government can arbitrarily make it illegal for any group to strike. While you're musing on that, also ask yourself if it's okay for the government to break the law, because that is what they have done in illegally stripping class size and composition language from the teachers' contract years ago. The justice system recently pointed out this "little problem" to the government, but apparently, they are above the law. This is a very frightening group of people holding the reins of our province. The latest plot of the Liberal government is to strip away seniority rights from teachers. That doesn't affect the public though, right? No wait, hang on ... does that mean that the district will be under pressure to hire less experienced teachers because they cost less? Who do you want standing in front of your kids - the rookie, or the rookie's mentor? Pay attention, people. While you're busy telling your neighbour how good those damn teachers have got it, the government is stripping your freedoms, your rights, and your public education system.

I'm curious to investigate in more detail. I know that MS has been using cloud technology to share documents, a la Google Docs but more oriented toward a business sensibility. If the data in the commercials is being streamed from the user and not stored on a cloud server, I wonder if there's an in-between wherein the truth lies: is MS using cloud tech for caching user data, maybe somehow akin to VPN? Definitely curious now.
